Lahore Zoo publishes its first newsletter

This November, Lahore Zoo started publishing its first publication, a quarterly newsletter. Well, it is not that great in graphics and context, but for a zoo located in Pakistan, this is an important milestone. Lahore Zoo has became a zoo of international value in 2004, when it was granted a membership by WAZA and also hosted the fifth conference of SAZARC.

Apparently Lahore Zoo never had a good resolution logo of itself...but Wikipedia does...

The newletter was released on November 15, 2010 and is available for download on Lahore Zoo official website (http://www.lahorezoo.com.pk/). It is said to be the part of the education and awareness programme. The newsletter also gives a brief introuction to history of the zoo. It also discusses some of the events that were celebrated in 2010, such as World Environment Day on June 5 and World Animal Day on October 4. The newletter shared the issue of inbreeding that has caused the death of many newborn Bengal tiger cubs. Some of the pictures of these cubs are sad to look at.

I suggest you guys have a look on the Wikipedia article on Lahore Zoo. Everything is properly referenced with global and local media. You might want to have a look at the controversies section of the article.
